ABOUT TONY SMART

Tony Smart is a fine arts photographer and artist. His love for art and photography began at age seven, and it became his life’s journey ever since. Tony graduated of Georgia State University in Atlanta, with a BFA in fine arts.

 

The focus of Tony's art centers around the interaction of the African American experience and its legacy in American. He seeks to explore the duality of what it means to be African and what it means to be African American. Tony attempts to explore this from numerous angles and perspectives. Hopefully, his art is a springboard for a broader conversation about the past, present, and future of our race.
